94th PGA Championship swings into Kiawah’s Ocean Course
The Ocean Course at Kiawah Island Golf Resort will join elite company in August of 2012 when the renowned course hosts the 94th PGA Championship. As the world’s greatest golfers descend upon this serene South Carolina island, the Ocean Course will become just the fifth course to host the PGA’s three major championships: the Ryder Cup, the Senior PGA Championship and, of course, the PGA Championship.
The 94th PGA Championship is poised to become South Carolina’s most-talked-about event of the year, and ResortQuest is proud to make its accommodations available to book during the PGA Championship dates. The championship tees off on Thursday, Aug. 9 and plays through Sunday, Aug. 12, 2012.

Baby, you’re a star
Though it’s not located in Hollywood, there is no doubt that Kiawah Island’s Ocean Course is a star. Quite literally, in fact. The course made its big screen debut in 2005’s “The Legend of Bagger Vance,” a nationally released movie starring Will Smith, Matt Damon and Charlize Theron playing roles in a story about a golfer down on his luck and trying to recapture it with the help of his caddy.
